Resin painting is a design technique developed by Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori. It involves meticulously painting layers of resin, one on top of the other. The process is both complex and time-consuming but the result is astonishing; something sculptural and a painting.

Below are works created by Singapore-based artist Keng Lye, using the same resin painting techniques as above. Lye, however, takes his work a step further by combining the painted epoxy resin with acrylics, pushing the limits of the 3D illusion. The series is entitled Alive Without Breath.

Almost as powerful as a Formula 1 racing car, and much more stunning, the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is a masterpiece. It's as if the Italian Renaissance has been reborn in car form. All hail the Italian craftsmen.
